Common Ground

"I try to find common ground with everyone so that I might bring them to Christ. I do all this to spread the Good News, and in doing so I enjoy its blessings.” 1 Corinthians 9:23

Finding the common ground that you share with others is not always easy. Sometimes it may mean stepping out of your comfort zone to start a conversation with someone you don’t know. Beginning a conversation can be difficult, continuing a conversation that was started can be even harder until you find some common ground between the two of you.

Getting to know others is a blessing. What a special gift and feeling when out of nowhere you realize that you have something in common with the other person. It might be a friend you both know, a place you’ve worked, an animal you own, a hobby you’re passionate about or even having children at the same school.

Yes, pursue common ground. It is there friendships are formed. It is what relationships are built upon. It is where Christ will have the opportunity to work through you to make Himself known.
