“Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground.” Exodus 2:5
I remember being young and mom would holler as I ran out the door, “Please, get your shoes.” I loved running around bare-footed. There was no need for shoes. I loved feeling the cool grass on the bottom of my feet. The feel of the warm sand squishing between my toes was the best. Of course, there was the occasional rock or sticker, but I didn’t care. I just wanted to feel the earth beneath my feet.
God is calling, “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground.” He wants me to slow down, feel His earth under my feet, and remember that all He made is holy.
