And this is the message I proclaim – that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life. (Romans 2:16 NLT)
It is amazing how we think that what we do in secret will never be found out. We try to cover it up and hide it from others. We become so good at this charade we begin to think we can hide our “secrets” from God.
Looking back through scripture we quickly see that hiding circumstances from God is not possible. Take a look at Adam and Eve, Moses, and David – they all thought they could hide their sins, but what we learn from them is the longer they played "cover up" the larger the sin became.
Do you have secrets that are weighing you down? Are you suffocating under the pressure of those secrets?
If so, write a letter to God today. Reveal, confess and tell of the secret life you are living. He knows already, but there is power in confession.
Then join me October 3-4, 2008 in Corpus Christi, TX at the Living the Life Women’s Conference. I will be speaking on just this subject Friday evening, “Leaving My Secret Life Behind.” This will be one awesome weekend!

Wait in Expectation
Psalm 5:3 “Morning by morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; morning by morning, I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.”
Satan wants us to constantly live our life looking back at failures, which keeps our eyes on ourselves. He wants us to drive our car of life looking only in that narrow rearview mirror where objects appear closer than they are. He will make certain those failures look like they are tail-gating us when in fact God has already unhitched them and they are long gone in the dust of HIS grace and glory.
Along the journey we realize that Christ, however, teaches us to drive through life looking forward. He teaches us to look straight through the windshield at the day ahead. Each day is filled with many possibilities. Look beyond the bend in the road and wait in expectation for the victories He'll give.
